Coach Bashiru cautioned his side after they were held to a barren draw in their friendly game against Cape Coast-based Sea Lions FC played at the Nduom Stadium in Elmina on Tuesday.
In a post-match interview, the former Ebusua Dwarfs coach said: “This particular game is good because if your team is scoring every opponent and you come here and they hold you then you have to know that there are others who are better than you so you need to wake up.”
“It means they should not be psychologically happy that they are scoring more goals in the other friendly games. I like the organisation of this Sea Lions team because they are strong and it shows.”
Coach Bashiru added that he would give other players a chance to prove their mettle in their next game against a select side from Takoradi on Wednesday.
“From here we are going to Takoradi to play a select side tomorrow by this time. We have two teams so tomorrow majority of these players will not play so that other players will also play. If you fix one team they all have to sit down for another team to play because it is a physical activity and if you don’t take care you will bring them down.”
Last week, National Women's League champions, Ampem Darkoa Ladies also held the Queens to a 1-1 draw in their friendly game played at the Ohene Ameyaw Park at Techiman.
