Revealed: Kotoko coach C.K Akonnor almost resigned before Nkana game

Staunch Asante Kotoko supporter Seidu is alleging that head coach CK Akonnor nearly resigned prior to the game against Nkana FC on Sunday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium

Reports were rife in Kumasi that management had imposed some players on the coach to name in his starting line-up.

According to the supporter, management should manage the affairs of the team and not try to impose their decisions on the coach in the area of player selection

"It took the intervention of Managing Director of the club George Amoako for him to rescind his decision," Seidu said.

Asante Kotoko play their next game against Al Hilal of Sudan on Sunday, March 10, 2019.

The Porcupine Warriors lie second on the table with six points, a point behind leaders Hilal.
