During the week, there was a media report suggesting that the coach was unhappy with the resignation of their MD, Mark Noonan, who was the brain behind poaching Grant from Elmina Sharks to the Accra-based club.
But the coach who returned to training on Thursday posted a short video on social media shouting “I’m back”
The video started with the English-born ex-Ghana international covering his face with his electronic tablet while walking towards the camera at the club’s training grounds at Pobiman, only to remove it and scream “I’m back”.
The 46-year-old trainer was said to have flown out to the Czech Republic for a short vacation and this was the grounds on which report circulated that he might not return because of the exit of the MD who masterminded his signing.
Grant’s return might be a great source of news for both the players and fans who are very disappointed by the sudden resignation of the MD who was said introduced some reforms that were aimed at transforming the club into a global brand.
Following Noonan’s exit, the club has now recruited Frederick Moore as the new MD with the responsibility to continue from where the American manager left off and also introduce some reforms that would help the club become an international brand. Read Full Story
