The Stars have started arriving in the country as they look to commence their qualification campaign on a bright note against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa on Thursday.
Late call-ups
Coach James Kwasi Appiah has been forced to hand late call-ups to players following injuries to Mubarak Wakaso and Harrison Afful who have been ruled out due to injury.
Hearts of Oak’s Fatawu Mohammed will join the team as replacement for Afful.
The team will have their first training session in the evening at the Accra Sports Stadium from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m, confident of beating the Bafana Bafana to qualify.
The Black Stars will then move to their camping base in Cape Coast tomorrow to continue their preparations for the clash with the Bafana Bafana of South Africa in the 2021 AFCON Qualifier.
Stop-overs
A statement published on GFA website, said the team would make stop-overs at Winneba and Mankessim to fraternise with fans and ignite the #BringBackTheLove call for the game.
“On Tuesday, November 12, 2019 the Black Stars depart for Cape Coast and will make brief stop-overs at Winneba and Mankessim, where they will interact with fans and distribute paraphernalia to them.
“The team will have its first training session in Cape Coast at the Cape Coast Stadium between 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. This training session is open to the media,” the statement noted.
