Mr. Adda made the call after several complaints of errors and the credibility of the voters' register was raised in the Navrongo Central Constituency, especially at the Pungu central polling station, where voters got turned away after their particulars were not found in the register.
The development, for some hours, stalled voting processes leading to several people abandoning the national exercise.
It also resulted in a scuffle between officials of the Municipal Electoral Commission, voters and the aspirants, leaving two elderly women with bruises to the knees and elbows.
Aspirants who were not enthused by the development have vented their displeasure, saying it has the tendency of negatively impacting the turnout and results of the election.
Commenting on the issue in an interview with the press after he had cast his vote at the Wusungu Primary B polling station, the MP who doubles as Ghana's Aviation Minister said when the EC is able to rectify such anomalies in the register, it will prevent election associated violence and not create room for confusion.
"The confusion at the Pungu central polling station calls for the electoral commission to ensure that the register comes complete with everything in there. The pictures and the names are attached and all the verification marks, bar coding system and everything required is in there. That way, there will be no room for confusion, problems or any violence of any sort," he said.
He therefore urged the commission to commit itself to removing such errors as it prepares towards the general elections next year.
While urging the people to elect Assembly members who would champion the development of their various communities, the MP thanked the people of his constituency for the peaceful manner in which the election was being organized.
