The Catholic Bishop of the Obuasi Diocese, Most Rev. John Yaw Afoakwa, has blessed the marriages of 15 couples in the Catholic Church, at a mass wedding at Manso Afedie in the Agroyesum Parish of the Amansie West District
.
The occasion coincided with the climax of the Year of Mercy in the Catholic Church.
Bishop Afoakwah commended the couples for the commitment in their marriages, and urged them to be living examples to their children and others in society. 
The Parish President of Saint Anthony Parish Agroyesum, Mr. Francis Boaten, thanked the Catholic Diocese for its support to the parish water project
