A philanthropist, Mr Emmanuel Barimah-Boakye, has presented an electronic Veronica bucket, valued at GH¢1,000, to the St Theresa’s Catholic Hospital at Nkoranza in the Bono East Region.
The donor said the bucket is to aid hand washing with soap and curb the spread of the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) among health officials, clients and visitors.
Users would not have to touch the bucket because it has a sensor and uses electricity to power the water to make hand washing easier.
Mr Barimah-Boakye said the donation was his widow’s mite towards the prevention of an outbreak of the COVID-19 in the Municipality.
A similar presentation, he said, had been made to the Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Hospital in Sunyani, and soon one would be presented to the Sunyani Regional Hospital.
