The Tetteh Quarshie Foundation, in collaboration with the Philbro Group of Companies, has donated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to some residents at Manya Krobo in the Eastern Region.
The donation, which was necessitated by the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, was to support the aged, disabled, and health facilities in the Manya Klo state.
Items donated included bags of rice, vegetable cooking oil, nose covers, hand sanitisers and liquid soap to the aged, disabled and selected health facilities within the traditional area.
The donation was to be presented to the identified groups mentioned above according to the following plan:
Suisi Division, Manya Division, Dorm Division, Piengua Division, Akwenor Division, Jebiam Division, Atua Government Hospital, Akuse Government Hospital, Asesewa Government Hospital and Saint Martin’s Catholic Hospital.
Mr Robert Tetteh Adjase told the media the donation was in ardent support of the government’s action plan to combat the Covid-19 pandemic, and its untold effects on vulnerable persons in the Manya Klo State.
He was delighted that he, in his small way, together with Philbro, has been able to support the people of the Manya Klo state.
The Municipal Chief Executive for lower the Manya Krobo Assembly, Simon Kwaku Tetteh, thanked the donors for the gesture.
He further appealed that people should stop stigmatising those who have the disease and have recovered, but rather be their brother’s keeper.
According to him, all the preventive measures should be adhered to help fight the Covid-19 pandemic.
