MMDAs Told To Check Noise Pollution In Communities

The Sunyani Regional Director of the Environmental Protection Agency, Mrs Philomena Boakye Appiah, has said all forms of noise pollution, including those made by preachers who use loud megaphones and blaring speakers, are illegal and punishable by law.
She has, therefore, entreated the various metropolitan, municipal and district assemblies (MMDAs) to enforce the law on the appropriate noise levels in their areas.
