As part of its effort to push Bank of Ghana’s agenda of a cashless economy, Slydepay, a mobile money app has launched a campaign dubbed: Pay Like a Boss.
This is meant to make payments easier and to enhance the lifestyle and convenience of individuals and businesses.
As part of the campaign, the brand explored extensive methods of promotion including an official hit song titled ‘I go pay like a Boss’ by EL. An official video is yet to be released.
Slydepay is a locally-developed electronic payments platform that enables individuals, businesses, and institutions receive and send payments across a variety of channels including mobile phones, bank accounts, and payment cards; VISA & MasterCard.
Speaking at the launch, Chief Executive Officer of DreamOval, the parent company of Slydepay, Derrydean Dadzie said, "this campaign is tailor-made to ignite the BOSS in You!”
He indicated that, the app has been tailored for the local Ghanaian market and is very secured because Slydepay was built on world class security protocols.
The DreamOval boss bemoaned the increase in mobile money fraud in the country and called for regulators to implement policies to check the menace.
Mr. Derrydean Dadzie said until these things are checked, majority of the population will stop using the electronic payment systems – a situation he fears could be very dire to the economy.
Lead of Product Development at DreamOval, Claud Hutchful explained further that: ‘Slydepay is an app that celebrates inclusiveness."
He also noted that a new feature on the updated app – SlydeRemit allows users to send money from Slydepay to another bank account.
He emphasized that Slydepay also lets you buy airtime, pay bills pay business and ecommerce shops that are accept mobile money payments and card payments.
