Burundi police seized four guns and other military equipment in an operation of dismantling a group of bandits in the southern Makamba province, a police spokesman said Friday.
Police mounted an operation against a group of bandits on Thursday at Kazirabageni in Nyanza-Lac district in Makamba province, said Pierre Nkurikiye.
“During the operation, police agents seized four guns of the Kalashnikov type, five chargers, 264 ammunitions and some medicaments,” said the spokesman.
“The two bandits arrested yesterday (Thursday) afternoon and the other two accomplices who had been arrested earlier are all undergoing investigations,” Nkurikiye said.
