
The Black Stars skipper joins the Turkish club from the Chinese side Shanghai SIPG.
Following the expiration of Asamoah Gyan's contract at Chinese side Shanghai SIPG, the former Al Ain player has signed a two-year deal with Turkish club Kayserispor
The Black Stars captain who has 51 goals for Ghana, completed formalities on Wednesday to end his six-year adventure in Asia.
Although several clubs were hopeful of signing him up, Gyan ended up joining Kayserispor after finalising talks with the club president President, Erol Bedir.
A statement on the club’s website read:
"An agreement has been reached with world famous footballer Asamoah Gyan to join Kayserispor.
President Dr Erol BED?R, actor Asamoah GYAN, Gökhan Alt?nta?, Tuna Kaya and our club officials have signed a 2 1 year contract with the Ghanaian in the last meeting in Istanbul.
Our president Dr.Erol BED?R and Asamoah GYAN will move to Kayseri with 21.20 plane tonight."
Reports say the deal is likely to amount to €1.5 million euros a year.
The former Sunderland player was on the verge of joining another Turkish outfit Bursaspor, however, the move collapsed after the club failed to reach an agreement with the Black Stars captain.
Last season Asamoah Gyan bagged eight goals in 21 appearances, while on loan with Al Ahli Dubai.
