Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur is doing well after he fell and was stretchered off in the EFL Cup semi-final firs-leg clash against Liverpool last night.

The match continued with Tottenham going on to secure a 1-0 win in the dying embers of the game. Many. However, were disturbed and worried as they eagerly awaited a positive update on the 27-year-old's health.

Spurs hand Arne Slot difficult task
Liverpool have to dig much deeper in the second leg to overcome the one-goal deficit handed them by Ange Postecoglou’s men.
The thrilling encounter last night appeared to be a game of goals but for some reason, the ball couldn’t enter the net. A first-half stalemate was followed by both teams trying to take the lead early into the second half.
Dominic Solanke thought he had finally broken the deadlock in the 75th minute, but it was ruled out for offside by the Video Assistant Referee (VAR).
Arne Slot was relieved albeit shortlived as he became livid on the sidelines when Lucas Bergvall gave the home side the lead 10 minutes later. Liverpool protested for the Swedish teenager to be sent off by giving him a second booking after tripping Kostas Tsimikas with a sliding tackle minutes before he scored the winner.
The second leg will be played on Thursday, February 6, 2024 at Anfield.
