A TV model, Luisa Kremleva, has been handed a suspended prison sentence and fined after admitting to making a false rape accusation against AC Milan defender Theo Hernandez.
The 28-year-old, who is originally from Russia, reached a plea bargain with prosecutors, admitting to perjury for fabricating the claim that Hernandez had raped her in the back of a Porsche outside a Marbella nightclub in 2017, according to reports by UK news outlet, the Mirror.
Kremleva, who had previously delayed her trial by claiming a “medical emergency” in October 2024, was absent from court during her scheduled trial. However, on Thursday, court officials confirmed that she had been sentenced to six months in prison, which has been suspended, and fined £1,500. She has also been warned that any future criminal activity will result in her serving the sentence.
Her conviction ends a nearly seven-year legal saga that began on June 4, 2017, when Kremleva accused Hernandez of raping her in a friend’s car after a night out at the Olivia Valere nightclub.
However, investigators quickly dismissed her claims after CCTV footage showed she had accidentally fallen to the ground, not been pushed out of the car as she had alleged. Police also uncovered a text message Kremleva sent to Hernandez just hours after the supposed assault, asking when he would go home with her.
The report stated that Hernandez, who was never arrested, was later cleared of the allegations, and Kremleva was charged with making a false criminal complaint in January 2020 after failing to respond to a court summons.
Kremleva admits to false claim
The charge followed claims that Kremleva fabricated the rape story as revenge for Hernandez rejecting her attempts to spend the night with him after consensual sex in the car.
In an earlier interview, Kremleva had insisted that she had proof of the attack on her body, claiming injuries to her backside and knees. Her mother, Mila, also denied her daughter's arrest in 2020, insisting that Kremleva was only picking up a court notification and stating that “the truth would come out.”
During the plea bargain, Kremleva admitted to acting maliciously and acknowledged that her accusations were false. The court ruling, delivered by Judge Lourdes Sanchez Esquinas, stated that it had been proven that the encounter between Kremleva and Hernandez was consensual, and that she had made the rape claim in retaliation after a disagreement.
Theo Hernandez, who was not required to testify in court, is reportedly close to finalising a new contract with Serie A side AC Milan, where he is expected to become one of the club’s highest-paid players. Hernandez was also key in helping Milan win the Italian Super Cup against Inter Milan in a thrilling 3-2 victory, scoring and assisting in the dramatic comeback.
