Captain Mahama’s death: Suspect arrested in girlfriend’s room

One of the suspects captured in the Captain Maxwell Mahama murder video has been arrested at Awutu Dominase near Kasoa in the Central region on Friday dawn.

The 30-year old suspect, Charles Buah,  who was reportedly hiding in his girlfriend’s room when he was picked up is seen in the video hitting the late Captain’s head with a cement block.

The lady (name withheld) is said to have alerted a friend about the presence of the suspect in her room leading to his arrest.

The Kasoa Police Commander ACP Dennis Abade who confirmed the arrest, said the suspect is currently being sent to the Cape Coast police command to assist with investigations.

Out of the fourteen suspects arrested, seven have been charged with murder and remanded into police custody.

Captain Mahama was mistaken for an armed robber on Monday, pelted with stones and burnt to death at Denkyiraboase on his way from jogging by an irate youth who claimed robbers have been terrorising residents.
