Kumasi: Traders run for cover as storey building collapses at Asafo

Traders around Asafo Interchange in Kumasi ran for their lives when a two-storey building housing over ten shops collapsed this morning.

The affected women were spotted looking helpless as their wares go down the drains.

Some of the traders especially the men gathered some courage to salvage their wares risking their lives.

NADMO officials and fire fighters are finding hard time to drive ‘stubborn’ traders away from getting closer to the building.

Occupants of the residential apartments have been completely evacuated from the building located around Dunkirk.

There are some cracks on the pavement of the 5-year old building.
