The former President John Dramani Mahama has expressed grief over the death of Asempa FM’s presenter Kwadwo Asare-Baffuor Acheampong popularly called ‘KABA’.
He described KABA’s death as a ‘sad day for Ghanaians’.
In a Facebook post, he said ‘A sad day for us all. Received the shocking news of the passing of KABA. My condolences to the family, MBG and the media fraternity’.
In a similar Facebook post, the Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia prayed to God to grant his wife, family, media fraternity and management of Multimedia the fortitude to bear his painful loss.
‘I have learnt with shock, the sudden demise of Joseph Kwadwo Asare-Baffuor Acheampong (KABA) of Asempa FM and the Multimedia Group.
May God give his widow, family and the entire media fraternity, the fortitude to bear this painful loss,’ he stated.
KABA, who was the host of Asempa FM’s afternoon political talk show ‘Ekosi sen’ died on Saturday at the Korle-bu Teaching Hospital in Accra.
He is said to have died of low blood sugar.
