The outgoing Ashanti regional police commander COP Ken Yeboah has indicated that his biggest challenge in the Ashanti region within his 1 year 4 month tenure was the activities of Delta Force.
The New Patriotic Party Vigilante group caught media headlines after they attacked a security liaison at the regional coordinating council and later stormed the court to free their colleagues standing trial.
COP Ken Yeboah contends the media pressure and the barrage of criticisms was a baptism of fire to him and a lesson he has drawn as he moves to the police headquarters.
He told host of the Ultimate breakfast show Lantam Papanko, “Especially when the media started blasting me here and there, and my children were calling asking Daddy what is happening. It really got to me.”
He however pointed out that he is now satisfied that the culprits were rearrested, put before the courts and fined.
He added, “To me, the fact that we were able to rearrest all of them and have them prosecuted was a plus and a lesson to everyone that no matter your political affiliation, if you commit an offense you will be convicted.
