Tension is rising at Morshie Zongo in Kumasi in the Ashanti region following the death of a 52-year-old man at Police cells.
The youth who attempted attacking the Tafo Nhyiaeso over the incident have issued a one-week ultimatum to the police to provide answers.
The family of the victim whose name has been given as Boaza Tongo is suspecting foul play and demanding answers. They say the Police account that their kinsman took ill at the cells and was taken to the hospital is suspect since they are yet to see a hospital report.
The angry youth are accusing the police of deliberately targeting them.
It took the timely intervention of the MP for the area Collins Owusu Amankwaa and some community leaders to avert a clash with police in the area.
Daughter of the deceased told Starr News they will need more convincing from the police over the death of her father.
