As part of its commitment to supporting the creative arts industry and empowering young talent, FirstBank Ghana is sponsoring a series of major cultural and entertainment activities this December, reinforcing its role as a bank that champions creativity, innovation and youth-driven growth.
The Bank’s December 2025 creative arts interventions span music, culture, digital content creation and community engagement, providing platforms for artists, creators and cultural practitioners to showcase their craft while connecting audiences to innovative banking solutions.
One of the headline events supported by FirstBank is the Kweku Smoke Revival Concert, themed The Rebirth, happened on December 18, 2025, at GHUD Park, behind the Accra Mall.
Beyond live music performances, the concert featured a car showcase highlighting luxury vehicles, pop-up displays of limited-edition merchandise, skate presentations spotlighting Ghana’s emerging skate culture, and a nationwide community basketball competition. Surprise guest performers were also thrilled patrons on the night.
FirstBank Ghana is also proud to sponsor Sarkodie’s Rapperholic 2025 Concert, confirmed for Thursday, December 25, 2025, at the Grand Arena, Accra. The event follows a successful Homecoming edition held in Kumasi in September 2025 and continues Rapperholic’s legacy as Ghana’s premier music concert. Sarkodie, a long-standing value partner of FirstBank, is expected to deliver high-energy performances, premium production and unforgettable moments for fans.
In the build-up to Rapperholic 2025, FirstBank Ghana partnered Sarkodie and the Rapperholic Team to launch the FirstNest Content Creators Challenge, a digital initiative aimed at unlocking opportunities for young creatives.
The challenge, which was launched on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at Akuna Pod, brought together 50 content creators competing to demonstrate how fast and easy it is to open a FirstBank account using FirstNest, the Bank’s digital self-service platform.
Out of the 50 creators, 20 have been shortlisted to generate further content highlighting FirstNest, with winners set to receive their rewards live on the Rapperholic stage on the big night.
FirstNest enables customers to open an account instantly, activate digital banking services such as USSD, Mobile App and Mobile Money, and manage their finances seamlessly using only their Ghana Card, without visiting a branch.
Extending its support beyond music, FirstBank is also backing the Ankos Festival, popularly known as the Takoradi Masquerade Festival or Street Carnival, scheduled around Christmas 2025 in the Western Region. Organised with support from Connect FM, the festival celebrates Ghanaian culture through traditional performances, masquerade parades, culinary experiences, artisan markets and community-focused events at the Ankos Village.
Commenting on the Bank’s December activities, Victor Yaw Asante, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of FirstBank Ghana said, “At FirstBank, we see the creative arts as more than entertainment, it is a powerful engine for youth empowerment, innovation and economic growth.
By investing in platforms like these, we are deliberately investing in young people because they are not only today’s creators, but tomorrow’s leaders, entrepreneurs and nation builders. Our ‘You First’ agenda guides everything we do, placing the aspirations, creativity and financial well-being of our customers and communities at the centre of our decisions.
Through initiatives such as FirstNest and our support for music, culture and digital content creation, we are making it easier for young people to access opportunities, express themselves, and build a secure financial future.”
Through these initiatives, FirstBank Ghana continues to position itself as a trusted partner to the creative arts industry, empowering talent, celebrating culture and driving inclusive digital banking adoption across the country.
