MobileMoney LTD has donated GH¢10,000.00 to the Fadama Council of Chiefs in Accra to support the Muslim community as they mark the end of Ramadan and prepare for Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations.
The donation was presented during an Iftar gathering at the Fadama Central Mosque, where company officials joined community members to break the fast in a demonstration of solidarity and shared values.
Presenting the cheque, the Finance Manager of MobileMoney LTD, Mohammed Nurudeen Iddrisu, said the initiative reflects the company’s commitment to supporting its customers and recognising the significance of the holy month.
“We are here to stand with our Muslim brothers and sisters as they complete the fasting period. This gesture is also to appreciate them for their continued patronage and support for our Mobile Money services,” he stated.

He emphasised that MobileMoney LTD remains focused on deepening financial inclusion through accessible and secure digital solutions, urging customers to leverage the platform for transactions, savings, and other financial services while staying alert to fraud.
“As we celebrate, we encourage everyone to continue using mobile money responsibly and safely. It is important to remain vigilant and avoid falling victim to fraud,” he added.
Mr. Iddrisu further announced that the company will host a Sallah Fest and MoMo Fest as part of activities to mark the Eid celebrations, aimed at entertaining customers while promoting cashless transactions.
The events, he said, will feature live performances from popular Ghanaian artistes including Medikal, Wendy Shay, OliveTheBoy and DopeNation, alongside appearances by emerging acts.
In addition to the entertainment, the festival will include a fraud awareness drama designed to educate the public on common mobile money scams and how to avoid them, as well as a “Keteke” game show where participants stand the chance of winning cash prizes.
He noted that the combination of entertainment and education is intended to deepen customer engagement while promoting safe and convenient digital financial practices.
The donation forms part of MobileMoney LTD’s broader corporate social responsibility efforts aimed at strengthening community relations and advancing financial inclusion across Ghana.
Receiving the donation on behalf of the National Chief Imam and the Muslim community, the Chief of Fadama, Ridwan Muktar Abbas, expressed appreciation to MobileMoney LTD for the timely intervention.
He described the gesture as a demonstration of strong corporate social responsibility and commended the company for consistently supporting the community during important occasions.
“This support will go a long way to assist members of the community as we celebrate Eid. We are grateful for this show of kindness and solidarity,” he said.
Mr. Abbas also prayed for the continued growth and success of the company and encouraged community members to embrace mobile money services to enhance convenience and security in their daily transactions.
