Wa, Dec.12, GNA – Normal business has resumed after the presidential and parliamentary elections with people are going about their normal activities without any hindrance.No serious incidents occurred in the region and the fears entertained by many could not be sustained as the elections has been described as the most peaceful and orderly ever conducted in the area.A noticeable feature however was the ‘skirt and blouse’ pattern of voting in electing Members of Parliament and the preference for the President. In many instances too, some of the Members of the Parliament retained their positions by merely ridding on the shoulders of their party or perhaps the goodwill of the President-elect John Dramani Mahama.Indeed as the results portrayed, the elected representatives need to work harder than before to meet the aspirations and needs of the people so as to win the confidence reposed in them else they could also be ushered out by 2016.The skirt and blouse voting was so dominant in constituencies such as the Wa Central, Wa East, Wa West, Jirapa and Nadowli/Kaleo and the Members of Parliament in those constituencies need to pay attention to the actual needs of their constituents.Here are the Presidential results in the region:Wa Central NDC 37,382GCPP 278NPP 20,822 PPP 829UFP 75 PNC 424CPP 74Independent 63Wa East ConstituencyNDC 13,900GCPP 232NPP 11,271PPP 154UFP 64PNC 119CPP 54Independent 89Wa West ConstituencyNDC 18,856GCPP 429NPP 7,301PPP 801UFP 104PNC 165CPP 108Independent 136Nadowli/Kaleo ConstituencyNDC 19,825GCPP 434NPP 7,602PPP 171UFP 46PNC 115CPP 67Independent 65Daffiama/Bussie/Issa ConstituencyNDC 8,700GCPP 123NPP 3,520PPP 395UFP 43PNC 79CPP 40Independent 43Jirapa ConstituencyNDC 20,603 GCPP 261NPP 3,375PPP 155UFP 66PNC 173CPP 173Independent 1,524Lambussie/Karni ConstituencyNDC 12,313 GCPP 177NPP 2,880PPP 196UFP 19PNC 96CPP 65Independent 295Lawra ConstituencyNDC 13,739 GCPP 219NPP 5,538PPP 117UFP 22PNC 60CPP 45Independent 48Nandom ConstituencyNDC 14,407GCPP 136NPP 5,774PPP 45UFP 16PNC 46CPP 27Independent 24Sissala West ConstituencyNDC 12,850GCPP 123NPP 7,402PPP 65UFP 22PNC 1,274CPP 24Independent 49Sissala East ConstituencyNDC 13,559GCPP 199NPP 7,613PPP 162UFP 57PNC 2,382CPP 136Independent 454Parliamentary Election ResultsWa CentralNDC 28,149NPP 22,304PPP 3,150PNC 6,202CPP 310Independent 120Wa East ConstituencyNDC 12,846NPP 12,505PPP 262PNC 187NDP 105Daffiama/Bussie/Issa ConstituencyNDC 7,293NPP 4,931PPP 690PNC 146NDP 101Nadowli/Kaleo ConstituencyNDC 16,063NPP 12,073PPP 253PNC 169NDP 90Wa West ConstituencyNDC 16,368NPP 9, 918PPP 1,744NDP 333Jirapa ConstituencyNDC 11,172NPP 2,165PNC 139CPP 87NDP 104DPP 92Independent 12,902Lambussie/Karni ConstituencyNDC 8,444NPP 2,569PPP 423PNC 194CPP 180NDP 51Independent 4,164Lawra ConstituencyNDC 12,735NPP 6,588PPP 408CPP 111NDP 61Sissala West ConstituencyNDC 11,294NPP 8,144PNC 2,935NDP 77Sissala East ConstituencyNDC 8,987NPP 6,603PPP 259PNC 6,450UFP 193NDP 149Independent 2,217Nandom ConstituencyNDC 13,172NPP 7, 333NDP 134GNA
