Head coach of Bechem United Mallam Yahaya insists his outfit will not give up despite succumbing to a heavy defeat against Asante Kotoko in the Ghana Premier League matchday 16 clash.
The Porcupine Warriors made light of the Hunters on Sunday at the Baba Yara Stadium, inflicting a 6-0 victory to move summit of the Premier League standings.
Nigeria forward Morifing Donzo led the charge with a brace, while Samba O’Neil, Kwame Opoku, Hubert Gyau, and Johnson Owusu Oppong also found the back of the net to complete the rout.
Despite the setback, the experienced gaffer stressed the side will work hard to accumulate points in subsequent in their quest to finish the season in a good position.
“As for disappointment, it is normal. We are down but we are not going to give up. It’s a huge loss for me and the entire team. Despite the setback, we are going to work hard and ensure we win games to place the team in a good position” he told the media after the match.
Bechem United are enduring a difficult Ghana Premier League run. After 16 matches, the Hunters find themselves on the relegation drop, accumulating just 16 points, signaling their below par performance.
