Manchester City have reached advanced stages of the signing of Ghana international Antoine Semenyo after agreeing to trigger his release clause.
The Etihad outfit are currently in pole position to seal a winter move for the 25-year-old barring any last minute hitch.
Talks between City and AFC Bournemouth are almost concluded with the former European champions agreeing to pay £65m release clause.
Meanwhile, the club and the player are also finalizing personal terms. Semenyo is expected to sign a long-term deal with improved wages.
Semenyo could make his last appearance for Bournemouth against Arsenal on Saturday in the Premier League.
The versatile attacker has been on the radar of several clubs after an outstanding campaign last season and early this campaign, where he has already netted nine league goals for the Cherries.
Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur were also interested in the former Bristol City player.
The Ghana international will become the first Black Stars player to play for City.
