Ghana Premier League giants Asante Kotoko have announced the signing of defensive midfielder Prince Badu as the club reinforces its squad for the second round of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.
In an official notice on Wednesday, December 31, the club indicated that Badu has signed a three-year contract and joins from fellow Premier League side Nations FC.
“Asante Kotoko is pleased to announce the signing of defensive midfielder Prince Badu on a three-year contract following the successful completion of his medical.
"The midfielder joins us from Nations FC, where he has been a consistent presence over the last two-and-a-half seasons, making close to half a century of league appearances. Known for his discipline, positional awareness, and ability to break up play, Badu adds much-needed depth and balance to Kotoko’s midfield,” the club statement from Kotoko said.

Currently at the top of the Ghana Premier League standings, the signing of Prince Badu is a significant statement from Asante Kotoko.
