Vision FC boss Nana Kweku Agyemang has revealed that instilling belief in his young squad was the fundamental motivation behind the team's spirited 1-0 away victory against title contenders Aduana FC.
The win in Dormaa, the club's first on the road this season, is the most significant shock of the recent match week. It propelled Vision FC to 11th place in the Ghana Premier League, providing crucial breathing room above the relegation zone as they concluded the first half of their campaign.
Agemang stated that the core message to his players has always centred on self-confidence. "We’ve always asked them to believe in themselves. This is the youngest team in the Ghana Premier League, so what we needed was belief," the coach explained in his post-match comments.
He emphasised that the result itself serves as the most powerful proof of concept for his philosophy. "So I think that this [win] will sell our message very well for them to realise thatâ¦they should be able to fight not only to win home games but be able to go away and also get the results."
Celebrating the "amazing" milestone, Agyemang's revelation highlights how fostering a winning mentality was the critical driver behind the team's resilient and effective performance against a top-tier opponent.
