Karela United coach Nurudeen Amadu expects a tough test against Aduana FC on Sunday, warning that the Dormaa-based side will be highly motivated following last weekend’s surprise home defeat to Vision FC.
Aduana were beaten 1â0, a result that extended their poor run to just one win in six league matches.
Amadu believes the setback makes Aduana even more dangerous. “That is what makes it very challenging, because they are now wounded lions and they will not want to lose or draw,” he said. “They are also hoping to win the league.”
The Karela boss stressed that Aduana’s experience and home strength cannot be underestimated.
“They also have experienced players, so on a good day they can beat any opponent,” he noted, adding that his side must be ready for an intense contest.
Karela travel to Dormaa with confidence of their own, having suffered only one defeat in their last seven league outings.
That run has lifted morale within the squad and strengthened belief that they can compete away from home.
“If you are challenging for the league, you don’t lose matches like that,” Amadu said, referring to Aduana’s slip. “We have to give them the match of their lives. It’s going to be a very interesting game.”
