Ghanaian side FC AshantiGold has completed the signing of centre-back Ebenezer Sekyere.
The experienced defender has joined the club on a short-term deal that will see him remain in Obuasi until the end of the current season.
Sekyere, a 26-year-old right-footed defender, brings valuable top-flight experience to the AshantiGold backline.
He is a former player of Great Olympics and Nsoatreman FC, where he developed a reputation for his composure, strong tackling, and positional awareness.
He is perhaps best remembered by fans for scoring a dramatic 78th-minute winning goal for Great Olympics in a 2-1 victory over King Faisal back in 2022.
The signing represents a significant coup for FC AshantiGold as they push for success in the ongoing campaign.
The Obuasi-based club will be hoping Sekyere's leadership and defensive solidity can help shore up their defence and provide a platform for a strong finish to the season.
The player's experience in higher divisions is expected to be a major asset to the team's overall structure and ambition.
