The head coach of Bechem United, Kobina Amissah, has praised the performance of his players in their defeat to Basake Holy Stars in the Ghana Premier League.
The coach and his team played away to Holy Stars on Sunday in their Week 19 fixture of the league campaign.
After conceding twice in the first half, Bechem United only managed a consolation goal in the second half and succumbed to a 2-1 defeat at full-time.
Speaking in his post-match interview, Coach Kobina Amissah shared his satisfaction with the overall performance of his team, but bemoaned their inability to capitalise on their chances.
“I think Basake Holy Stars, in the first half, played well. They did everything to make sure they dominated the first half. In the second half, we talked to our boys and dominated the game. We had a goal and other opportunities, but we couldn’t utilise them. In the last 15 minutes, they were tired, and we should have capitalised on it, but we couldn't.
“My boys played well, especially in the second half. We lost, and we will do our homework to win the next match,” Kobina Amissah said.
Up next for Bechem United, the team will face Hearts of Lions during Week 20.
