Hearts of Oak head coach Didi Dramani has underlined the importance of maintaining high standards, insisting his players must not become comfortable even after delivering their most dominant display of the season.
The Phobians backed up his message with a commanding 3â0 victory over Eleven Wonders at the University of Ghana Stadium in Legon, a result that keeps them firmly in the Ghana Premier League title conversation.
Despite the convincing nature of the win, Dramani made it clear that his expectations go beyond scorelines, stressing the need for consistency and discipline in performance levels.
“So sometimes it is difficult for my players to understand that I do not seem to be happy with certain aspects, because they might think that it is okay. But I see it differently, because I think we need to set the right standards.”
Hearts matched their coach’s demands with an authoritative showing. Mawuli Wayo set the tone early, opening the scoring inside eight minutes after a dazzling solo run and composed finish.
The visitors continued to dictate the tempo and were rewarded again in the 62nd minute when Martin Karikari reacted quickest in the box to double the advantage. Kelvin Asibey completed the scoring from the penalty spot, capping a polished attacking display.
The victory lifts Hearts to fourth on the table with 35 points, building on a run that has now seen them win three of their last four matches.
Attention now turns to a tricky test against Bechem United, while Eleven Wonders face a period of reflection ahead of their next fixture against Young Apostles.
