Medeama Sporting Club continued their enviable form in the Ghana Premier League over the weekend, beating Karela United 3-1 at home to maintain their place at the summit of the league standings.
The result on Sunday at the TnA Stadium means the Yellow and Mauves are now unbeaten in the last 17 league matches, a form unmatched by any other side in the division.
With four consecutive wins in the last four games, Medeama SC have opened an eight-point gap at the top of the league table.
With a total of 43 accumulated points and 14 matches left to end the season, the team based in Tarkwa remains the favourite to clinch the league title at the end of the 2025/26 football campaign.
Chasing Medeama for the league title is Asante Kotoko. The Porcupine Warriors climbed to second in the league log on Sunday, after thumping Basake Holy Stars 3-0 to end a three-game winless run.
Aduana FC and Hearts of Oak follow in third and fourth places as the chase for the league table intensifies.
Meanwhile, Karela United and Bechem United occupy the midtable positions, with Holy Stars, Hohoe United, and Eleven Wonders languishing in the relegation zone of the standings.
