Everton have expressed interest in signing English-Ghanaian youngster Tyrique George on loan, as his London-based club assesses the most suitable path for his continued development.
The 19-year-old is expected to leave Stamford Bridge before the end of the window, with several European sides tracking him after his limited minutes this season.
George has made just 11 appearances in all competitions so far, including only four Premier League games, and Chelsea are now more open to a temporary move having initially insisted on a permanent sale.
Last summer, Fulham came close to signing the academy product for a fee of £22 million, but that deal collapsed late in the window. On 29 August 2024, George made his senior debut for Chelsea as a substitute in a 2â1 defeat to Servette in the 2024â25 UEFA Conference League play-off round.
He scored his first Chelsea goal on 10 April 2025 in a 3â0 away win over Legia Warsaw in the Conference League quarter-final, then netted his first Premier League goal ten days later in a 2â1 victory at Fulham that helped secure Champions League qualification for the following season.
With that pedigree and clear attacking potential, a loan to Everton could offer George the regular top-flight minutes he now needs to take the next step.
