Aduana Stars failed to take advantage of slips from Medeama and Kotoko as they drew barren at home in their matchday 21 encounter with FC Samartex.
Aduana FC got off to a blistering start after Seidu Sana came close with a fine strike before a quick move on the right from Daniel Awuni almost found Prince Otuoba at the far end.
Moments later, the Ogya lads attacked again, with Benjamin Tsivanyo striking from far, only for the rebound to be narrowly missed by Remember Boateng.
In between the flurry of attacks, Samartex had their own chance through a counter, but Christian Agyenim Boateng could not make it count.
Just before the break, Tsivanyo and Marfo combined to win Aduana a free kick at the edge of the box, but Sana’s curler went wide.
After the break, Samartex were reduced to ten men after their player struck the ball to the face of Otuoba.
The host kept pushing, hoping to make the advantage count, and after a series of changes, they could not find the breakthrough.
The host had the opportunity to close the gap at the top, but a frustrating draw at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park leaves them in third place.
