Asante Kotoko head coach Abdul Karim Zito is eyeing a quick turnaround after the team’s 3-1 defeat to Heart of Lions in the Ghana Premier League.
The Porcupine Warriors travelled to Kpando on Saturday to face their Week 21 opponent at the Kpando Sports Stadium.
In a game Asante Kotoko struggled to deal with set pieces, Heart of Lions battled to secure an important win amid their struggles.
Speaking in his post-match interview, Karim Zito expressed his disappointment with the defeat while rallying his players to switch attention to their next match against Aduana FC in the MTN FA Cup.
The experienced tactician insists that his team must do everything to eliminate Aduana FC to keep hopes of ending the 2025/26 football season with a silverware alive.
“Definitely we have to win. We don’t have any excuse than to win that game because one of my objectives is to win the league, the FA Cup or the double. So definitely I have to work hard and we cannot afford to lose to Aduana if we want to do anything impactful. So we are going to work hard for it,” Karim Zito told journalists.
The MTN FA Cup Round 16 fixture will be played next weekend at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
