Ghana international Antoine Semenyo has expressed his disappointment following Manchester City’s stalemate against Tottenham Hotspur in the English Premier League.
The Black Stars attacker started and played full throttle of the match, as the Sky Blues settled for a 2-2 away draw against Tottenham on Sunday.
Manchester City dominated the first half of the match, with Rayan Cherki and Semenyo scoring to give the Sky Blues the lead in the highly competitive clash.
A spirited performance in the second half saw Tottenham Hotspur leveling the pegging through England international Dominic Solanke. The draw leaves Manchester City six points behind log leaders, Arsenal as the Premier League title race heats up.
"First half we played really well. The mentality was to do the same again. Second half that didn't happen and they dominated. Everyone is visibly frustrated and we go again.
"I couldn't tell you [why] if I'm honest. They started picking up momentum and had a couple of chances. Getting the crowd into it helped. The crowd were behind them and it definitely helps..." he said.
After 24 matches into the campaign, Arsenal find themselves on top of the standings with 53 points, while Manchester City occupies second spot with 47 points.
The Ghana international has now scored 12 Premier League between Bournemouth and Manchester City, marking his best ever season in the top-flight.
