Medeama Sporting Club are still leading the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League standings after Week 21, despite suffering a setback over the weekend.
The Yellow and Mauves travelled to the Ashanti Region last Friday to face Nations FC in their Week 21 fixture.
In a game played at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex, Medeama SC scored first, but Nations FC rallied from behind to secure a 2-1 win that earned the side all three points.
Despite returning to Tarkwa empty-handed, Medeama SC are still at the top of the Ghana Premier League standings with 43 points.
Aduana FC follow in second place with 36 points, seven points behind the league leaders. Hearts of Oak and Gold Stars, also on 36 points, occupy the third and fourth places respectively.
On a matchday where Asante Kotoko suffered a 3-1 defeat to Heart of Lions, the team dropped out of the top four and now sits fifth in the league log.
Nations FC, Dreams FC, and Young Apostles occupy the midtable places, while Berekum Chelsea, Hohoe United, and Eleven Wonders find themselves in the relegation zone.
After Week 21, the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League will take a short pause next weekend to make way for the MTN FA Cup Round of 16 games.
The league will resume the following weekend with lots of exciting action at the various match venues.
