Turkish Super Lig club Goztepe have officially confirmed the signing of Ghanaian midfielder Musah Mohammed, with Sporting Director Ivan Mance revealing the club had been monitoring the player for an extended period before securing his transfer.
"We are very pleased to have brought him into our squad," Mance stated in the club's announcement.
"Musah is a player we have been following for a long time." The sporting director highlighted Mohammed's versatility as a primary reason for the club's sustained interest, describing him as a "versatile footballer who can play in multiple positions."
The 24-year-old midfielder joins Göztepe from fellow top-flight side Bodrumspor on a three-and-a-half-year contract, with an option for an additional season.
According to reports, Göztepe's interest dates back to the previous summer, but a deal was delayed as his former club initially proved reluctant to part with a key player who had been instrumental in their promotion to the Süper Lig the season before.
Last season, Mohammed made 25 league appearances for Bodrumspor, contributing four assists as he helped establish the team in the top division. This campaign, he continued as a regular starter, scoring once and providing two assists in 21 appearances across all competitions before the move was finalised.
Göztepe now adds a long-term target to their midfield ranks, banking on Mohammed's adaptability and top-flight experience to strengthen the squad for the remainder of the Süper Lig season and beyond.
