Asante Kotoko head coach Karim Zito has remained tight-lipped over the future of defender Samba O'Neil at the club.
The Congolese international, who joined the Ghana Premier League giants in 2024, has established himself as a key player for the Porcupine Warriors.
Yet with his contract set to expire at the close of the 2025/26 season, Samba has reportedly declined to extend his stay.
Reports suggest that several clubs from South Africa and Tanzania are prepared to offer the defender a lucrative deal.
When pressed about Samba’s contract situation, Zito declined to comment on whether the club captain would remain beyond this season.
“Nobody knows what is going to happen tomorrow, so let’s put it aside,” he told Graphic Sports.
Samba has netted three goals in 19 appearances this season and is expected to lead Kotoko as captain when they face Aduana FC in the MTN FA Cup Round of 16 on Sunday at the Baba Yara Stadium.
