Asante Kotoko right-back Lord Amoah has boldly declared that the Porcupine Warriors will win all their remaining Ghana Premier League matches to secure the league title.
Speaking in an interview on Pure FM, Amoah expressed disappointment over the club’s recent poor performances, including their exit from the MTN FA Cup, and apologised to the supporters.
“We are disappointed with our recent poor performance, including our MTN FA Cup exit. We are sorry for that,” Amoah said.
Despite Medeama SC currently leading Kotoko by eight points, the defender remains confident that the league title is still within reach.
“I can confidently say that we will win the rest of the games, starting from the Hearts of Oak game this Sunday. I promise we are winning the Ghana Premier League despite Medeama leading us by eight points,” he assured.
Amoah emphasised that the team will need the full backing of the supporters as they begin their title charge against arch-rivals Hearts of Oak.
“All we need is the presence of our supporters,” he added.
Asante Kotoko will face Hearts of Oak on Sunday in the Super Clash, in what promises to be a crucial encounter in the title race.
