Thomas Partey has fully cooperated with authorities throughout the investigation into allegations against him, his lead counsel Jenny Wiltshire has confirmed, as the Ghana vice-captain faces two additional rape charges.
The Villarreal midfielder now stands accused by four women, with the new charges relating to an alleged non-recent offence said to have taken place in 2020.
Partey is already scheduled to stand trial in November 2026 after pleading not guilty to five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault involving three other women.
In a brief statement issued on February 12, 2026, Wiltshire stressed the player's continued compliance with the legal process while declining further comment.
"Thomas Partey continues to deny all charges against him. He has cooperated with the police throughout. Given there are ongoing legal proceedings, there will be no further comment."
The 32-year-old was first charged in July 2025, four days after his Arsenal contract expired.
He joined Spanish side Villarreal as a free agent the following month and remains eligible to play under his current bail conditions, which require him to notify police of international travel at least 24 hours in advance and prohibit contact with any complainants.
Partey will appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on March 13, 2026, to respond to the two new charges. His trial on the original counts is set for November 2026.
The Black Stars vice-captain, capped 54 times for Ghana, most recently featured in a World Cup qualifier against Comoros in October 2025. His contract with Villarreal expires on June 30, 2026.
