Ghanaian centre-back Rockson Yeboah is brimming with confidence ahead of the 2026-27 Allsvenskan season, declaring his intention to make this his defining campaign with IFK Göteborg.
The 21-year-old, who spent time on loan at AEK Athens before returning to the Swedish side, impressed during the 2024-25 season with 14 appearances across all competitions. Now, he is ready to build on that foundation and attract interest from Europe's elite clubs.
"This is the time for me to show what I have in me," Yeboah told Swedish newspaper Göteborgs-Posten. "This is the season that I hope everything goes as I planned."
When asked directly whether a marquee transfer is part of that plan, the young defender did not shy away from his ambitions.
"Yes, that's the plan. Then only God decides how it will be. I will do my best and see what it gives me and the team."
Yeboah, who is yet to earn an international cap for Ghana at any level, will be hoping that a strong season in Sweden's top flight finally brings him to the attention of national team selectors.
For now, his focus remains firmly on IFK Göteborg. But his words make clear what lies beyond: a season of delivery and a dream of something bigger.
