Black Princesses assistant coach Raymond Fenny has revealed that his technical team has already begun analysing Uganda ahead of the final round of qualifiers for the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup.
Ghana secured their place in the decisive round after a hard-fought 3â2 aggregate victory over South Africa, setting up a two-legged showdown with Uganda in May for a spot at the World Cup in Poland.
Speaking after his side's arrival in Accra, Fenny made it clear that attention has immediately shifted to the final hurdle.
"We have started analysing our next opponents," he told reporters. "Now we have Uganda as the last hurdle, so we will prepare ourselves and make sure we overcome them as well."
Uganda booked their place in the final round after edging Zambia 2â1 on aggregate, drawing 1â1 at home before securing a vital 1â0 away victory.
Fenny emphasised the importance of the upcoming tie, with Ghana chasing an eighth consecutive appearance at the U-20 Women's World Cupâa record they have maintained since their debut in 2010.
"[The game against Uganda] is a big deal," he said. "Our objective is to go to the World Cup."
The first leg is scheduled for May 1â3, 2026, with the return fixture set for May 8â10. The Black Princesses are expected to regroup in early April to begin full-scale preparations.
