President of the Ghana Football Association, Kurt Okraku, has expressed strong confidence in the jerseys Ghana will wear at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Speaking in an interview, the leader of the country’s football governing body noted that he does not doubt that players will be happy to put on the jerseys.
“Our strips will look very nice, and our boys will be proud wearing the strips of Ghana to compete,” Kurt Okraku told GFA Media.
Beyond the aesthetics, the GFA President called on Ghanaians to rally behind the team with prayers ahead of the global showpiece, stressing the importance of unity and fitness within the squad.
“I ask for prayers from everybody for the team. Let’s pray against injuries, let’s pray that the unity in the team stays as it is and even becomes better and let’s pray the goals will flow,” Kurt Okraku added.
At the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Ghana has been drawn into Group L, where the Black Stars will face their counterparts from Panama, England, and Croatia.
As part of pre-tournament preparations, Ghana will take on Austria, Germany, and Mexico in high-profile friendly matches in March and May.
