Medeama Sporting Club have maintained their place at the summit of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League standings at the end of Week 23.
The Tarkwa-based club over the weekend clashed with FC Samartex in a crucial encounter in Samreboi.
The Yellow and Mauves went into the match on the back of a defeat to Nations FC and a draw against Aduana FC.
Having dropped five points in the previous two matches, coach Ibrahim Tanko and his lads were determined to return to winning ways.
Unfortunately, they faced a tough side in FC Samartex and could only settle for a point at the end of a goalless stalemate.
Despite failing to pick maximum points, Medeama SC remain top of the league table with 45 points.
Closing in on Medeama SC are Bibiani Gold Stars. The team, after beating Heart of Lions over the weekend are now on a three-game winning streak.
Their improved form has propelled them to second in the league table, and just three points behind the league leaders.
Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko follow in third and fourth, respectively, and are also in contention for the league title.
Heart of Lions, Vision FC, and Bechem United are among the midtable teams, with Young Apostles, Hohoe United, and Eleven Wonders in the relegation zone.
