Auxerre midfielder Elisha Owusu says it will be an honour to play at the 2026 World Cup with the Black Stars.
Ghana will be making their fifth appearance at the Mundial this summer and will come up against Panama, England and Croatia in Group L.
Having featured at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, the 28-year-old, speaking in an interview, says he does not think about playing at the tournament but admits that it will be an honour.
“It would be an honour and a big blessing to play the World Cup for my country,” Owusu told Flashscore.com.
“But I try not to think about it too much. For me, life is about process. I take it day by day⦠and leave the rest to God," he added.
The Black Stars will regroup in March for their international friendly games against Austria and Germany as part of their preparations ahead of the global showpiece.
The Black Stars will open their 2026 World Cup campaign against Panama on June 17, 2026, before taking on England on June 23. They conclude the group phase with a clash against Croatia on June 27.
