Ghanaian midfielder Augustine Boakye produced a standout creative display as Saint-Etienne eased to a 3â0 victory away at Pau in Ligue 2.
Boakye was heavily involved throughout and capped his performance with a superb assist for Lucas Stassin’s second goal.
Saint-Etienne made the perfect start when Stassin opened the scoring in the third minute, finishing from an Irvin Cardona pass to put the visitors in early control.
Pau pushed to get back into the game, edging possession, but Saint-Etienne always looked the more dangerous side in transition. Midway through the second half, Boakye slid a precise ball into Stassin’s path on 64 minutes, allowing the forward to double the lead and effectively kill Pau’s momentum.
Deep into stoppage time, Boakye was involved again as Joshua Duffus added a third in the 90+4 minute, sealing a dominant away win and stretching Saint-Etienne’s strong recent form.
In the 2025/26 Ligue 2 campaign, Boakye has continued to grow in influence for Les Verts, adding five goals and seven assists from the No.10 role. Saint-Etienne now turn their focus to their next league outing away to Red Star on Saturday, March 7.
