Bechem United were held to a 0-0 draw by Karela United at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Stadium on Sunday, March 1, 2026.
The Hunters entered the contest seeking a return to winning ways and hoping to secure back-to-back home victories, but they were met by a disciplined Karela side chasing a fourth straight win.
Clear-cut chances were limited in a cagey first half, with both teams struggling to find rhythm in the final third. The intensity improved after the restart, yet composure in front of goal remained elusive.
Zakaria Abdulai came closest for the visitors, heading narrowly wide from inside the box. At the other end, Karela goalkeeper Daniel Afadzwu was alert when called upon, producing a vital intervention after an Eric Antwi error nearly gifted Bechem the breakthrough.
The visitors were handed a late advantage when Bechem United’s Rasco Abassah London was shown a red card in the 88th minute. However, âThe Pride and Passion’ failed to capitalise on their numerical superiority as the hosts held firm to secure a share of the spoils.
The result keeps Karela seventh on 35 points, while Bechem United slip to 12th with 30 points.
Bechem United will next travel to Abrankese to face Nations FC, while Karela return home to take on Asante Kotoko.
