Black Queens forward Doris Boaduwaa has been crowned the top scorer of the 2026 Pink Ladies Cup, clinching the Golden Boot with a three-goal tally.
The Hapoel Jerusalem star spearheaded Ghana’s offensive dominance in the United Arab Emirates, delivering clinical performances that powered the senior national team to consecutive 4-0 victories against Hong Kong and Russia.
Boaduwaa opened her tournament account in the first match against Hong Kong, netting in the 40th minute to help secure an emphatic opening win.
She followed this with a masterclass against Russia on March 3, scoring twice in the first halfâfirst with a brilliant volley in the 17th minute and again with a low drive in the 33rd minuteâto finish as the competition's most prolific player.
Beyond her scoring prowess, Boaduwaa’s all-around contribution was vital, as she also provided key assists for teammates like Stella Nyamekye during the rout of Russia.
Her individual success coincided with a clean sweep of honours for Ghana, as goalkeeper Cynthia Konlan earned the Golden Glove for two clean sheets, while the Black Queens were declared overall tournament champions following the cancellation of the final match against Tanzania.
This Golden Boot win serves as a major statement of intent for Boaduwaa and coach Kim Lars Bjorkegren’s side as they ramp up preparations for the 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) scheduled for July this year.
