FC Samartex 1996 were forced to settle for a point after being held to a 0-0 draw by Dreams FC in their Ghana Premier League matchweek 25 clash at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena in Samreboi on Saturday.
The Timber Giants went into the encounter eager to end their recent winless run, but they were unable to find the decisive breakthrough against a resilient Dreams side that stood firm throughout the contest.
Samartex dominated large spells of the match, particularly in the opening half, as they attempted to impose themselves in front of their home supporters.
However, the hosts struggled to convert their possession into clear-cut chances, with Dreams maintaining a disciplined defensive shape.
Dreams, on the other hand, adopted a cautious approach and relied on quick transitions whenever they won the ball.
While they created a few promising moments on the counterattack, the visitors also found it difficult to test the Samartex defence with meaningful efforts on goal.
The second half followed a similar pattern, with Samartex pushing forward in search of a winner while Dreams remained organised at the back.
Despite a series of late attempts by the Timber Giants, the visitors managed to hold on and secure a valuable point on the road.
The result means Samartex extend their winless streak but maintain their impressive unbeaten home record in the league this season at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena.
For Dreams, the draw continues their encouraging run of form and provides a crucial point as they battle to move further away from the relegation zone in the closing stages of the campaign.
