Medeama SC head coach Ibrahim Tanko has identified Sunday's home clash against Hohoe United as the perfect opportunity to halt his side's alarming slide and restore their title charge.
The league leaders have seen a commanding nine-point advantage shrink to just one after four games without a winâthree draws and a defeatâwhile defending champions Bibiani Gold Stars have won four straight to turn the title race into a genuine contest.
Speaking ahead of the Week 25 fixture at Tarkwa, Tanko made it clear where his focus lies.
"We have to concentrate on the last 10 games and then try to win our matches, especially starting on Sunday against Hohoe."
The emphasis on "especially" underscores the urgency of the moment. Another dropped point could see Gold Stars leapfrog them at the summit, a scenario that would shift the psychological advantage entirely.
Tanko noted that the season is far from decided, with crucial head-to-heads still to come.
"Bibiani will come to us; we will also go to play Accra Hearts of Oak."
But first, Hohoe United stand in the way. For Medeama, the response must begin now.
